The Pigsty
Each of the eight cottages at Pant Y Celyn originally had a pigsty and a garden. Our pigsty, just across the yard, is now a games/utility room with an appropriately pink door! It’s also where the key safe is located. Younger guests will love the pool table, table football and darts board, and on a more practical note, there’s a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, a sink with cold running water and a drinks fridge. A row of hooks is handy for hanging up wetsuits or wet outdoor gear, and there are buckets and spades which you’re welcome to borrow if heading off the beach. You can also store bikes here but do bring bike locks.

The Garden
Follow the narrow path from the pig sty to a metal gate, where you’ll find our secret garden. Surprisingly large, this quiet space is a true sun trap. We’ve set it up simply with a large lawned area and a raised patio tucked into the sunniest corner of the plot. There’s a picnic table seating up to eight on the patio (you’ll find plenty of picnic crockery and glasses in the kitchen), deck chairs and a fire pit. Sit out with a morning coffee and listen to the birds or just switch off and relax in the sun.

Pant y Celyn
3 Pant Y Celyn was originally a quarry cottage for workers at the quarry at Penmon. With it came a pig sty and a garden to encourage self-sufficiency, and the cottage is one of a row of eight which make up Pant y Celyn.
The Menai Strait is less than half an hour’s walk away, and Beaumaris is just two miles down the road. Within an hour, you could be at the northern end of Anglesey, deep into Snowdonia or winding your way along the Conwy Valley - so much to see and do, should you wish.
We’ve owned this lovely cottage since 2019 and have renovated it into a cosy dog-friendly cottage for two to four guests. A quiet Hideaway where you can unwind and switch off, we never grow tired of its calm and tranquillity. So whether you stay for a week or more or just a few days, we hope you love spending time here.
